1. ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF RISK

I, {name}, understand that Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, martial arts training, strength and conditioning activities, sparring, drills, competitions, and related activities involve physical contact and inherent risks. These risks may include, but are not limited to:

• Cuts and bruises
• Sprains and strains
• Joint injuries
• Concussion
• Serious injury
• Permanent disability
• Death

I voluntarily choose to participate in activities conducted by Armour BJJ and fully accept all risks associated with participation.

2. HEALTH DECLARATION

I declare that I am physically and medically fit to participate in martial arts activities. I understand it is my responsibility to seek medical advice before participating if I have any injury, illness, medical condition, or concern.

I agree to immediately inform coaches or staff of any injury, medical condition, or physical limitation that may affect my ability to train safely.

I authorize Armour BJJ and its representatives to seek emergency medical treatment on my behalf if required. I understand that any medical or ambulance costs incurred are my responsibility.

3. RELEASE OF LIABILITY

To the fullest extent permitted by Australian law, I release and hold harmless Armour BJJ, Armour BJJ PTY LTD, Jesse Hughes, coaches, instructors, staff, students, volunteers, contractors, and representatives from any liability, claim, injury, loss, damage, cost, or expense arising from my participation in training or related activities.

This release applies whether the injury or loss arises from negligence or otherwise, except where liability cannot legally be excluded under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) or Australian Consumer Law.

I understand that I participate entirely at my own risk.

4. RULES, SAFETY & CONDUCT

I agree to follow all Armour BJJ rules, safety procedures, hygiene requirements, and directions given by coaches and staff.

I understand that unsafe, reckless, aggressive, abusive, or inappropriate behaviour may result in suspension or termination of my participation or membership without refund.

I acknowledge that maintaining a safe training environment requires cooperation from all participants.

5. PERSONAL PROPERTY

I understand that Armour BJJ is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal belongings brought onto the premises.

6. MEDIA & PROMOTIONAL CONSENT

I grant Armour BJJ permission to use photographs, video recordings, audio recordings, and images of me for promotional, educational, marketing, social media, livestream, and advertising purposes without compensation or further approval.

If I do not wish to appear in promotional material, I understand it is my responsibility to notify Armour BJJ in writing.

7. MEMBERSHIP & PARTICIPATION

I understand that participation at Armour BJJ is ongoing and this agreement applies to all current and future training sessions, classes, seminars, events, competitions, and related activities conducted by Armour BJJ unless replaced by a newer agreement.

8. GOVERNING LAW

This agreement is governed by the laws of South Australia, Australia. Any legal disputes relating to this agreement will be handled within South Australia.

9. ACKNOWLEDGEMENT & ELECTRONIC SIGNATURE

By signing below, I confirm that:

• I have read and understood this waiver and release agreement
• I understand the risks involved in martial arts participation
• I voluntarily agree to all terms contained within this document
• I understand that this document is legally binding
